Cannot share my wireless internet connection from my laptop to my desktop or xbox 360?

I do not have the option to share my internet connection from the advanced tab of the properties on my wireless internet connection. Can someone help me? I know what to do, but unfortunately I do not have that option. Any Suggestions or Feedback would be helpful.

NOTE:I know my hardware is compatible, because I have done this before. I have a new hard drive now.

Most computers can't do this. If you have a broadband internet connection and want to share that connection with all of your computers and the Xbox, you need a wireless router which you plug your internet source into (cable/dsl modem, for example) and then you set the devices to connect to your access point.

Edit: You're talking about ad-hoc networking, check the following two links. The first is from Microsoft on how to do this with your PC's, the second tells you how to do this with your Xbox. Good luck
