Common teaching processes like the teach pendant control most industrial robots. Accelerometer-based gesture recognition has become popular since the last ten years. Advantages of the accelerometer are low to moderate in cost, and small in size. Wireless sensor system (using 'Wii' remote; accelerometer-based) can be used to control a robotic arm. This arm is designed to operate in similar motions to the human arm.
Calibration of these teaching methods require big amount of time. They can require extensive human intervention. Adjustments are done based on accelerometer data. When teaching a walking robot (bipedal), feedback is useful to learn new walk parameters.
3-axis accelerometer is attached to various parts of a robotic arm. Sensor (accelerometer) is configured to recognize gestures (changing arm positions). Only specific movements can activate the robotic arm to function. Accelerometer data is analyzed to fit in the recognized specific movements, e.g., a swing to the right. Slight jittery movements will not produce any meaningful specific patterns. Advantage of such control system is its programmable, repeatable robotic arm movements.
Two 'Wii Nunchucks' (3-axis accelerometer) can be attached to control a robotic arm. One is at the palm of the user (held), another at his elbow. By this, at the two end points of the arm (palm and elbow), differentiation between roll and pitch wrist and shoulder joint movements are allowed. Digital motion data is then sent to (from both 'Wii Nunchucks') to 'Arduino' micro controller. The 'Arduino' micro controller only collects and processes acceleration data. A separate micro controller then controls the servo motors. 'Arduino', mentioned many times in this article is a physical computing platform that is currently taking the world by storm.

should i buy a wireless sensor bar for my wii?
i already have a pefectly working sensor bar, but the wireless one looks better. should i buy it??
no you might as well keep the one that came with the wii. the wireless one uses batteries. and the batteries work out to be quite exspensive
A rogue access point (AP) is any Wi-Fi access point connected to a network without authorization. In order to protect sensitive data, it is critical to prevent the use of unauthorized access points. Since a rogue AP is not under the management of network administrators, nor does it necessarily conform to network security policies, then rogue access points can allow attackers to bypass network security and attack the network or capture sensitive data.
In the absence of a wireless probe to monitor the airwaves, security personnel can manually search for rogue APs. An inexpensive but effective method for finding potential rogues is to use a freely available Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) port scanner that identifies enabled TCP ports from various devices connected to the network.
The steps to discover a rogue AP begin with running the port scanner software from a computer connected to the network. The utility uncovers all Port 80 (HTTP) interfaces on the network, which include all Web servers, some printers, and nearly all access points. The AP will generally respond to the port scanner's ping with the vendor name and it's corresponding Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Once an AP is discovered, the network administrator must determine if the AP is or is not a rogue. Ideally, the administrator would use software that would allow a pre-configured authorized list of access APs. If the scanning for rogue APs is manual, a list of authorized APs is still necessary. The authorized list can be populated using the following attributes:
MAC Address
SSID
Vendor
Radio Media Type
Channel
The aforementioned attributes, determined automatically or manually if software is not being used, will alert the detection tool if access points with differing attributes from the authorized list are present.
When rogue access points are determined, the administrator must have procedures in place to identify their locations.
Perhaps the most difficult step in this discovery process is to determine the physical location of the rogue access point. Router table entries may help. A routing table is present on all IP nodes.
The routing table stores information about IP networks and how they can be reached. Because all nodes perform some form of IP routing then any node loading the TCP/IP protocol has a routing table. When an IP packet is to be forwarded, the routing table is used to determine the physical or logical interface used to forward the packet to either its destination or the next router.
With the information derived from the routing table, a rogue IP address may be located by determining which node the address utilizes. Keep in mind that the location of nodes must be correlated with the addresses in the routing table. The limited operational distance of the RF signal can be useful in narrowing down the physical location of the rogue access point as well.
Perhaps the most fundamental step in protecting against a rogue access point may be having a security policy. A security policy should outline the rules against unauthorized wireless devices and employees should be educated about the policy. This will help stop the most common users of unauthorized devices, employees.

What books are the best to get into Website Designer or Software Engineer or Network Security?
Hi everybody, I would like to know what courses people taking in school on this majors: Website Designer or Software Engineer or Network Security. And what books are you using.
If anybody know any other good books/websites that could help me to learn this, please let me know.
sitewizard.com is good, also Lynda.com

"Computer security", the term covers today's computer users and computer industry, the key issues facing the complexity and severity. As more and more companies rely on ubiquitous network access, computer storage and retrieval of sensitive information, verification of the trusted user needs more and more pressing.
Even in personal life which, with banks, credit card and other sensitive financial data and related information will be private in some way inadvertently transferred to the Internet. While personal information is important, but the risk is continuously individuals in those services appear in the company's network environment. Tremendous amount of big business involved, so there will be criminal to spend a lot of time trying to secretly break into.
Current dismantling what exactly does the new surprise? Let us glimpse what the world is widely used to prevent computer intruders hardware token (hardwaretoken) should be a good choice. PlanetAnalog editors BillSchweber been looking for a fun little thing to be analyzed. Hard work pays off, he was a Boston-bound train from New York discovered a RSASecurID token. As the owner of lost property is not found in the car, according to the instructions, Bill is not the safety equipment is returned to the RSA, but the company will send it to Portelligent teardown.
This from RSASecurity company SecurID600 device is a small stand-alone tokens, can be hung on a keychain or put into the user's pocket. The device looks very simple function that generates a six-digit code, combine the user's PIN code and then the computer logged on to achieve two-level verification.
Although we have various forms of code, but alone they are vulnerable to attack. If a potential intruder know enough about you, such as your family dog's name plus your birthday a combination of these seem sound is actually very fragile. "Rover0859" on the surface is a random string of characters, but the computer can easily repeat offenders were on their break.
This is SecurID into play. Token shows the 6 digit code that is run through the hash function hardware token unique 64-bit symmetric key generated by the seed. The corresponding server to know each issued token key, and can be combined with the user through the inverse hash PIN code to authenticate users. Clearly, if this is a static string, then on the point of no use, because the break it is just a matter of time.
SecurID uses a small internal Battery Power supply, you can use the internal real time clock every 1 minute to generate a new code, the host-side solutions are changing simultaneously calculate the object code in order to maintain consistency with the token. The new code looks like a random hash function with the token key and nothing to do but powerful server host for every minute of the day there is only one correct answer.
Token from the string of code and real-time clock stamp seems to be code generated among the additional factors. But this has not within the scope of our discussion, let us come to the hardware it!
Other words, the token and the server in a one-minute intervals were generated and look forward to a new code, which will increase security to a standard password on user creation.
Bill sent dismantling of the gift seemingly simple, but soon showed its internal complexity. The Na Liangpian separate plastic case is not particularly difficult, but when I opened, pull out come is an epoxy sealed Board . Clearly, dismantling the first step had to suffer great difficulties.
CR2032 Button Battery And single-segment color LCD display is very clear, although the overall shape used (do not understand why not use black epoxy!), But other things are included in the epoxy resin. As previously encountered a similar problem, I went to try some good tips as far as possible to remove the circuit board, and for further understanding.
On the complexity of the basic components, the inside is not surprising places.
The only active circuit part is lead solder in circuit boards, a Chip . And about dozens of discrete passive components and crystals Oscillator Together, this 3.1x3.2mm die for real-time clock synchronization necessary functions, LCD control, key and code storage, and the achievement of token keys and other data-bit encryption, hash processing. Die tag does not show the manufacturer's name, may be mixed with custom devices.
Crystal from Switzerland MicroCrysal company basically is certainly the standard required for real-time applications 32.768kHz clock oscillation frequency. LCD is very simple, there are too many sources of potential suppliers, they are sealed by hot carbon / polyester flat ribbon cable connected to the circuit board.
Die itself contains a memory block to save the seed key, serial code and other programmable data. Some state machine code may be programmed into the memory, after hiding in the external contact adhesive labels for programming. Other chip area is all to the clock and the hardware hash logic. As the die is clear to use the large size of process technology, so the total number of gates is not high.
Perhaps most people find it strange that the apparent lack of self-destruction mechanism embedded memory. Portelligent has previously seen a more complex security micro-controller, as in the simple game controller, is shielding his private code. However, the lack of cryptographic expertise hacker, I can not predict the issue is how important the integrity of the token. PIN code properties and the roll cover, the solution from the practical application point of view is quite robust.
Small leather folder that the program is also an attractive part. The plating shield internal surface flush with the cap, it is possible to prevent radiation by sniffing out the LCD drive signals to show code tracking measures.
Any case, the device should be very low manufacturing cost and very effective, RSA can occupy two floors with its hardware authentication solutions for market share. If readers would like to learn more about this information, go to www.rsa.com Search the site password-encryption algorithm and a more detailed discussion.

What do I need to study in order for certification in network security?
I am changing my career for network security. What do I need to study in order for the right certification?
By the way, I am training to be certified. I don't have time to go to a class with my work schedule.
That depends on the certification you're taking. Sometimes all you need is some basic networking knowledge and experience in certain operating systems, some common sense in security, and then the course will take care of you. CEH, CISSP, Security+ are all easy to obtain if you have these basic knowledge.
Sometimes the course is more technical and requires you to have some experience in that area before jumping into it. For example, OSCE (Offensive Security Certified Expert - aka CTP) requires you to have some reverse engineering and exploit development skills, as well as web application security/source code auditing skills before you take it. They even require you to hack into their registration website in order to obtain the registration code, and start the class. Obviously in order to take this type of class, you better have some decent hands-on experience. And did I mention there is a 48-hour straight final exam?
So again, what you need to study really depends on the course. Every certification should have a course syllabus on their website, you can prepare yourself before taking the course based on that list.
However, I should warn you that the best certification may not be the "right" certification for you. Sometimes you may prefer the management/business side of security (ie. CISSP), sometimes you may want the more technical side of security (ie. OSCP aka PWB; 24 hour straight exam). Sometimes all you want is something more well known, easier to get your foot to the door type of cert (ie. CISSP or CEH)... but they may not be the most technical. Do a little research before you decide what's best for you. And BTW, most SANs certs are pretty well known for most companies as well.

CCTV: You Are Being Watched, No Matter Where You Are
Closed circuit TV, CCTV, doesn’t require an introduction at all. The purpose of installing wired or wireless CCTV is fundamentally the one of surveillance and vigilance. These are bigger in size than the wearable spy cameras or hidden cameras and so leave that for the detectives for the moment. (Also what we are not considering now is the Chinese TV channel: CCTV.)
It is thanks to IRA, the Irish Republican Army, for having paved the way for developing the concept of CCTV, albeit in a tragic way. The Royal British Army, in response to the IRA bombings has experimented using CCTV for years, including outdoors, since 1970s through to 1990s. Although exact numbers can not known, an estimate tells us that there are much more than 400,000 surveillance cameras on London streets alone. http://www.moneybizhome.com
Is It Just Military Surveillance With CCTV? CCTV is extensively being used in security system of industries, banks, super markets homes and all such places which are perceived as strategically and financially important. Commercial establishments using CCTV have increased manifolds in UK although it is not so common in US as it is perceived as a privacy threat. New York City has about 4000 CCTV installations and most of which are in shopping malls and other public places such as Liberty Statue, Lincoln Express, British Parliament, and places of strategic importance. Traffic monitoring and prosecution & crime detection have leapfrogged with the advent of CCTV.
After All, Just What Is This CCTV Well, CCTV is a closed network of small surveillance TV cameras which telecast and/or record anything in their field of view. CCTV networks are usually wired together and finally connected to one or more monitors. There will be more monitors depending on the importance of surveillance the cost factors. If you have lesser monitors than the number of cameras, they can be switched in a sequence onto monitor/s. CCTV cameras have capabilities to either record hours of footage they filmed or telecast in a short range at a particularly dedicated frequency which can’t be intercepted by normal TVs.
After the tragic bombings in London Metro tubes last July, there has been an increased public demand for using DVR (digital video recording) cameras rather than traditional cameras with tapes. If you wonder how this would have helped the cause, take it here. Tapes were removed in the fortnight following the bombings for study, and follow-up attacks could not be recorded as a result.
Thinking of CCTV installation at your office? Take professional help and consult police if necessary. Some cameras can be hampered with or can be intercepted with cheap receivers. A complete installation won’t cost more than $4000, which is nothing when security is uppermost.

what is the title of the Chinese instrumental music accompanying the Weather Forecast of CCTV 9?
We asked CCTV 9 several times but they did not respond. Maybe they are the TV network that does not answer inquiry. So, I think their statement to write them for inquiries is useless
maybe it doesnt have a name...

Whether you plan to work from home just during the planning stages or through the life of your business, creating the right space will increase your productivity and efficiency. Your best bet is to carve out a dedicated space, used solely for your startup work.
Even if you will only be working on your business planning at home, setting up a dedicated workspace is a good idea. During the planning phase, you will be collecting important paperwork, from your research notes to your entity registration, that you want to keep safe from being damaged or lost. As you delve deeper into the process, you will need a filing system to organize your work. Information from suppliers needs to be kept handy, and your marketing materials will need to be easily accessible and organized. Whether you choose to use a file cabinet or three-ring binders to manage your paperwork, keep your system convenient enough that you will actually use it!
Phone calls with suppliers and vendors will be a regular part of your startup planning. Be sure your dedicated work space allows you to maintain a professional atmosphere for talking on the phone. An office space with a door is best. Screaming kids and barking dogs in the background will limit your credibility. Also consider installing a separate phone line or purchasing a work-only cell phone, so that business calls are not accidentally picked up by others in your home and any calls that go to voicemail aren’t greeted by your hilarious family voicemail jingle.
Developing your business idea will require significant concentration and focus, so a quiet area (again, a space with a door is best) is a must. Much of your startup research can be conducted through the internet, so be sure you have access to a high-speed connection. If you have or can get a laptop to use for your startup, wireless capabilities are great. With a wireless connection, you can work anywhere in the house, not to mention at your local library, Starbucks, and most hotels!
If you plan to work from home for the long term, a dedicated work space is critical. To remain compliant with your LLC or corporate entity registration (your business should be one or the other to protect your personal assets), you must keep all business records separate from your personal. If you plan to write the use of your home office off as a personal tax deduction, and you should, the square footage that you count as office space must be dedicated to the business. That means your home office should not double as your personal bill-paying area or as extra personal storage space.
It is very easy, when working from home, to be lackadaisical about managing your work space and allow it to become a messy mass of disorganized papers. From the first day you begin working on your startup, remember that you are establishing the culture of your future company. Force yourself to maintain the organization and discipline that you will expect from your employees. How you get work done will be the standard for how your employees get work done, so begin your startup with the future in mind.

how can i connect my office computer to my home wireless router?
my shop is directly behind my house. in my home, i have a wireless router that has my home desktop & a laptop running. i was wondering how i can connect to the internet using this wireless connection, with my shop computer? i use windows.
you will need to go out and purchass wireless repeaters, otherwise known as wireless access points. depending on your router at home (whether it be B, or G signal) the placement of the repeaters will vary. wireless G for instance has an optimal range of about 300 feet but id never place a repeater more than 200 on a G signal unless you really like lag. simply place the repeaters about every 200 feet between the router and where you want to use the internet from.
Note: the rebroadcasted signal should have the same security settings as the original however read your user guides and ensure this is the case as i have seen otherwise.
