Wireless light controls are systems that can control lighting, along with the smaller appliances at your home or office. This system is very easy to install and is now made even more affordable. Wireless light controls are a great investment for your home or workplace.
Wireless light controls work by using a special radio frequency. This radio frequency then transmits signals from the wireless light control to the lighting equipment. The system makes everything easier for you because you can control the different kinds of lighting in your home with a simple hand-held remote control. Lamps, thermostats, outdoor lamps, and overhead lighting are just some of the lighting you can control with the wireless light control.
Turning off the lights in your home or office is now made very easy that it actually helps you save energy. Wireless light controls allow you to manage your lighting, which in turn, reduces your energy consumption.
With wireless lighting controls, you can also set schedules or timers for your lights. This means you can turn the lights on or off depending on the schedule you set. You can also take advantage of occupancy sensors that can detect if the room is occupied or not. When rooms are not occupied, the lights turn off automatically. Since a great deal of wasted energy is spent on lights which are left switched on, an overall savings in energy consumption can be increased with wireless lighting controls in place throughout a home or building.

why does my light/fan turn on by itself?? (remote controlled on/off)?
I have a ceiling fan in my dining room with a remote control on/off for the light and fan, and the light randomly turns on throughout the day and even in the middle of the night, I would say 3 or 4 times a week, and just today I turned the fan off 3 times, and its not someone playing tricks, because I was home alone. The light has randomly turned on for others too. I live in a modeler park, and am thinking there must be someone else with the same controller, but I'm not sure if it works like that, and we just recently moved a computer with wireless internet into the dining room and someone suggested it was the wireless, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions will help...anyone else have this problem?
Obvious answer is someone else has a remote using the same frequency and code, and is the most likely. ESPECIALLY if it is a radio remote.
IF possible, change the code for your units. (both the receiver in the fan and the remote need to be changed.)
If it is an infrared remote or sound remote, the problem is most likely something else. (I once has a sound remote TV, and the dog could change channels by shaking his head!) Sound remotes are not used much anymore.
Your wireless could possibly cause the problem, but it is not likely. IF you have a wireless mouse or keyboard, these are usually infrared, and could be the problem.
