Wireless Light

In our modern day and age, people need a web access service that meets all of their needs and brings them the most versatility possible. A major factor that people are looking for in their web service these days is not having to be pegged to the desktop computer: they want to be able to move around, and indeed our culture in general is placing an increasing amount of priority on the issue of mobility. Soon we will very aptly be able to be described as a mobile culture, and it is in light of this reality that 4G wireless web services are gaining more and more stature among web users that know the importance of moving around and want to make the most of their ability to do so. Constituting the very latest generation of mobile internet, fourth generation services are all the rave throughout the US and in many other parts of the world where folks have the same urgency to be as mobile as possible. It's an exciting moment for mobile fans and here, to honor the moment, we've put together a list of the two principal motives for why 4G internet is a right fit for any and all web users:
1) The speeds of the office or home internet connection. One thing many people assume their mobile connection will do is force them to accept lower download speeds, yet this is just simply not the case with 4G wireless. Developers have attained download speeds of more than 100 Mbps in the lab over fourth generation networks, and though that's not what people get out on the street in real world circumstances they still get roughly the same as they would on their home or office internet connection or even more at times. A typical fourth generation connection can bring download rates climbing up to 10 Mbps and from here to the very near future that figure is likely to grow considerably, making fourth generation wireless networks a hugely attractive option for just about everyone.
2) All the apps in the world. Thanks in large part to the fact that the connections are so fast over 4G networks, users of such networks are able to experience a much wider universe of mobile apps than with previous generation networks. Of course, the developers of fourth generation mobile apps (you've got to get a new app to surf on such networks than the one you used for 3G access) knew that this would be the case and went absolutely nuts on the apps end of things from the very start, so such mobile devices are guaranteed to have plenty apps-ability no matter what. You will feel like you are seated at your desktop computer given the kinds of applications you'll be using on such 4G mobile devices: VoIP with video in real time, vehicle tracking and map information, customer support apps and a whole lot more.
With clear wireless internet you can get these and many more benefits. So stay mobile and choose clear internet coverage in your area-you won't regret it!
I have a 2WIRE router/modem. Is the wireless light supposed to be on, even when my laptop isn't on?
I know that when my laptop is connected to the internet, the wireless light is on and blinking. After I turn it off, it used to stay on for a couple of minutes, then turn off. However, yesterday night, my laptop wasn't on at all, but I looked, and the wireless light on my router was on. Does that mean somebody's leeching off of my connection? Or was it maybe because my laptop was downloading updates or something, even when it was off?
I set up a new encryption WEP code. Is that good, or are there any other security measures I should take?
The wireless light indicates that the router is operating in wireless mode (receiving wireless signals). If you don't have your router locked with a security key then yes, someone is probably leeching you too.
